Academician Shih-I Chu

Liang-Yan Hsu 朱世益院士是量子科學和計算物理領域的權威專家。獲得博士學位後。1974年獲得哈佛大學化學物理學博士學位,先後任教於耶魯大學物理系和堪薩斯大學化學系。1990年,他成為堪薩斯大學的名譽講座教授。朱博士在強激光場、量子混沌與量子分形、阿秒超快科學與技術、原子分子碰撞理論等原子分子物理方面,發展了許多開創性的理論和精確計算方法。他以其廣義 Floquet 定理和瞬態廣義偽譜方法而享譽國際。博士。   除了傑出的學術成就,朱博士亦致力推動台灣基礎科學的發展。朱博士於1996年至2007年擔任我院學術顧問委員會成員。我的一些同事甚至在IAMS成立之前就認識朱博士。Chu博士與IAMS有著非常密切的關係。2007年回國後加入台灣大學物理系,致力於推動國內量子科學與工程的發展。雖然朱醫生離開了我們,但我們會永遠銘記朱醫生對家鄉的貢獻。
